HTMA Mineral & Nutritional Balancing

Nourishing the Deep Body

Why are minerals such a thing these days?

There was a time when our soil was nutrient and mineral rich. We didn't need to balance our minerals as much because we drank alive, mineral rich water and ate food that was diverse, heirloom, organic, & wild, and full of nutrients.  Seeds were passed down from generations, not hybridized, and contained worlds of story & life within them. The rise of modern agriculture and monocropping along with other soil depletive practices and busy lifestyles has changed the landscape of nourishment that we live in now.

We are not living on the same earth that our ancestors did.

And it shows up in our bodies. Just like rare earth minerals are mined to power our phones and computers, so too are minerals required to power the most foundational systems of the human body. Minerals are the most basic building blocks that *every single biological system and process requires to function optimally* - from the thyroid to the nervous system and digestive system.

Mineral Work is like Honey, slow & rewarding.

It works on deep layers in the body to help restore energy at a cellular level. When cellular energy is restored, the body naturally initiates healing on it's own.

There are very specific ratios of minerals that the human body prefers. It is not just about supplementing more magnesium, more this or more that. Mineral re-balancing is about looking at your unique composition of minerals and designing a protocol that helps the composition find balance overall. That approach is as unique as every individual!

When the body has insufficient mineral stores, it may hold on to heavy metals to use instead.

The body is brilliant! It knows how to pivot to stay alive and sometimes that means using less preferable minerals like metals to do the job. For example, if the body doesn't have sufficient calcium stores, it is more likely to hold onto lead. Although there is well documented evidence that heavy metals are linked to a host of health issues, one of the lesser known facts is that these heavy metals may be performing an important function. This is why I don't recommend intense chelation therapy to remove heavy metals without replacing minerals first. It's like removing the scaffolding inside your body without new support... and can lead to the body caving in on itself.

Mineral balancing seeks to replace the preferred minerals & naturally the body will let go of metals when it is ready.

Although there used to be an abundance of minerals in our food, we have to face that a beet isn't the same beet our great grandmothers ate.  I am a chef and food passionate woman who knows that food is medicine AND given the landscape we are in, many people are still living with insufficient mineral stores (and often not realizing how it impacts the rest of their body, psyche, & disposition!)

I've spent years learning the art of mineral balancing to help people replenish their body at the cellular level. â€‹
