Prenatal & Postpartum Care

Nourishing the body & soul during the postpartum period is sacred work.

About my approach: As a postpartum chef & practitioner I combine my experience with postpartum nutrition, women's herbal medicine, hormonal health, Ayurveda, & physiology to provide nutritive and restorative meals during the postpartum period. I curate meals and herbal formulations that have long been used during the postpartum period and tailor each menu based on the unique needs of you and your family. I believe that food is the foundation for restoring vitality back to the body after ushering new life into the world and that it will look differently for everyone! I prioritize digestive, metabolic, hormonal, and nervous system health while focusing on nutrient dense menus that change week to week to accommodate the body's (and baby's) growing needs. I center a whole foods, animal based, and flavorfully prepared approach that is both supportive and lick-the-bowl delicious.

One of the most important parts of postpartum care is a consistent & supportive diet of warm nourishing food and herbs.

Adding this to your Baby Registry

Have you considered asking for postpartum care on your baby registry? Friends and family want to rally to support you and your family bringing new life into this world. What better way to *really* support the Mother than to contribute to the nourishment of the whole family. Food has always been at the center of care & it is my devoted craft to make food specific to the changing needs of new mothers.

How to:

  • Set Up a Birth Registry

  • Create an item and name it something like "Postpartum meals / nourishment"

  • Write a brief description about *why* this is so helpful. Here's something you can use:

    • " Food and nutrition are foundational to the postpartum recovery. It's important to our family to have rest from shopping, cooking, and cleaning up our kitchen while also eating foods that are unique in their ability to promote wellbeing for mothers following birth.  Contributing to this fund allows us to receive specialized care & delicious food that will fuel our whole family while we focus on more important things, like our precious baby."

  • Attach a Link to Your Venmo/Paypal/ Zelle

  • Invite Friends & Family to Make a Donation - Ask for any amount to be donated or ask for the whole packagewhatever amount would help you afford this essential care. Ie: If you can only pay for 1/2 the amount, ask for the other half from folks who love you!

Working Together

Deposit: To secure working together, I initially take a non-refundable deposit of 10% of your package. Try as we might to plan, babies have their own rhythms and I want to make space for that! We'll set each session date together after the baby arrives but the deposits secure the general time frame we'll be working together so that I can plan ahead with other clients.

Payment: Full payments are accepted as soon as you're ready. I ask that your final fee be paid at least 3 weeks prior to our first session. Grocery bills are sent as invoice requests to your preferred email, zelle, or venmo and must be paid within 24 hours of delivery. I'm happy to accommodate payment plans as well if needed- just ask! If you'd like to book extra sessions, I recommend reaching out as soon as you feel able since I book all clients on a first come basis. Deposit and final payments can be made through Venmo @kearsleyskitchen or an invoice through my website upon request. Please choose food emojis for the description, bonus points for foods that make you smile.

Menu // Allergies: I design my menus to work with the innate biology of the body, changing them week by week to accommodate for your evolving digestive capacities and nutrient needs. If you or someone in your family has food allergies or intolerances, that's ok! Once we confirm working together I will ask you to fill out a client intake form so we can gather all the information needed to design an individualized menu plan.

Here is a Sample Menu for you to get a taste of my work.

Reschedule/Cancellation Policy: I do my best to accommodate the natural timing of birth by staying flexible with scheduling. I find that it provides the most ease to finalize the exact dates of in-home support after your baby arrives. In the event that you need to cancel your package, your initial deposit will be kept. If you cancel within 72 hours of the date, Kearsley's Kitchen retains up to 30% of your total fee. Thank you for understanding.

Taking the Next Steps:

  1. Book a Free Consultation Call

  2. Choose a number of sessions

My Next Steps:

  1.  Once your deposit is received, we're all set!

  2. As you near your birth window, I'll reach back out to see how you're feeling, what you're craving, and touch base about details

  3. Hold you and baby in my heart as you cross this life changing threshold again.

Real honest & real good food that our grandmothers would recognize- that's the flavor of food I share.

If you want to feed you and your baby’s foundation of wellbeing

& you want to lick the bowl too,

I'm here to help.

"Kearsley supported me for 3 months postpartum. I adored her warm presence and how I could rely on her food to always be nourishing, locally sourced, and interwoven with healing herbs in a truly beautiful and delicious way. Being nourished to this level was an absolute blessing- every mother deserves such care & I recommend her with a full heart (& belly!)"
